I was wondering why you didn't TURN ON THE A/C first!!!

Usually we do that when we return to a hot car, what with global warming and all!

I was going to ask if they were homemade CDs or prerecorded, but I know with the Shaker 500 there isn't much difference on what kind it is.
The system still will skip, start over at the beginning, etc regardless...

Hmmm

My regular shaker didnt work at all once, when it was insanely hot inside. Didnt work the whole drive. No radio either. It just sat there. On but nothing. Worked on next startup and has never had a hickup since..

I have had the same problem twice. With both store bought and home made copies of cds. It was extremely hot both times. The second time, after the AC was on for about 15 minutes or so the cds started playing again just fine.So it's not the cds that a problem it's the shaker.

Do your interior a favor and get a sunshade if you're leaving your car out in an open parking lot all day.

Aside from the obvious long-term sun damage you'll be saving it from, it should be a lot cooler inside when you're leaving school.

ORIGINAL: 07BLACKGT

Yeah it might be the c.d.s... ill try that.

and yes black car+101 degrees= death if you stay in it, lol. I would be curious to know how much hotter it was in the car than it was outside.I probably couldn't have survived for 2 minutes inside that thing.
It was by far the hottest thing i've ever been in, in my 16 years on this earth.
my wife is the hottest thing ive been in...

I know I'm way too trusting, but I generally leave the windows cracked whenI park in the sun. That seems to help quite a bit.

I've heard so much stuff on this site about the shaker.
So weird. I guess I got hella lucky cuz even with the horrible shape I keep all of my cd's in.. my shaker has never given me any probs.
I love it because I can store 6 cds at a time and in the dash without a console unit as well..

I shopped around for a fancy stereo that would have a switcher in the console but could'nt find one .
My shaker has been golden for me...
I guess I am a lucky SOB.

I used to have that problem with portable CD players. They would get so cold or hot and didnt want to play.
