Shelby, Roush, Saleen, Terminator?

RE: Shelby, Roush, Saleen, Terminator?
I would highly suggest you google Shelby and Shelby Mustangs - there's a tremendous amount of history there for you to catch up on, and much more to explain than anyone could hope to do here. Anyway, mine is one of the current Shelby models, known as the Shelby GT.

Why say "Wow"? Everyone has to learn somewhere at some point. I know things that you don't know, just like you know things I don't. I wouldn't dare look down on someone who is trying to learn something just because I know it, in fact, I would take that chance to teach someone something. Thanks for the posters who helped.

Seriously, go to google and type in any one of those words.
Boom, your question is answered.
Thats like walking into a book disscussion having never heard of the book being disscussed.

RE: Shelby, Roush, Saleen, Terminator?
Someone already explained the terminator, but not the reason behind the name..."terminator" was the code name used by SVT because this car was supposed to end the mustang vs f-body (camaro, firebird) war once and for all. Ironically, by the time it came out the f-body was out of production.
Roush and Saleen take brand new mustangs off the assembly line and do their own mods to it, appearance, drivetrain and suspension-wise. Then they're sold new with warranty.
Carroll Shelby did the legendary GT350/500's back in the sixties (you know...the ones that sell for a half mil these days?), screwed around a bit with Chrysler in the 80s (Omni GLH, Daytona, etc) and is now doing the new Cobras and Super Snakes (like a ball$-out cobra)...
...hope I helped...

So when people say they have a Saleen mustang, they either bought a mustang loaded with Saleen mods or put the mods on themselves? Same with Roush? Also, whats Mach1?
