Question, how does this look to you guys? Also, what kind of amp would I need with this sub?

Looks great and any amp with 300 watts RMS will be more than enough to push the sub. I have never heard of the company that make the enclosure and the sub but the reviews seem to be spot on.....go for it!

RE: Sound Systems
I wouldnt buy scosche subwoofers, but the box would probably costquite a bitto have custom built anyway. Keep in mind I am very stuck up when it comes to audio, for the normal person just looking to have it a little better, this would likely be a good buy.
Just a quick google search on the part number yeilded varying results in price from 139-200, so if you do decide to go that route then shop around a little.
As far as amps go, for around $100-150 (including shipping)I found these that are more than sufficient for your needs without being overkill, sold as new, with the ability to upgrade subwoofers later on if you wanted. They are also class "d" Which means they shouldnt draw all to much current from your battery to make goodpower. However, because they are class "d" They are subwoofer specific and you could never use them for mids or highs.

Any one of those would be a good choice, I myself have had great experiences with this line of MTX amps, and would reccomend them. I think it would be the best for the money, I also like alpine and use alpine with no trouble. I am personally not well versed in Kicker products, but I have never heard anything but good.
I think your choice is going to come down to preferance of looks, just make sure that when you order your sub, you specify "2 ohm" for the subwoofer itself or "dual 4 ohm" if available.
Good luck!

I have the same box installed in my 07 GT. I replaced the sub with a JBL 12 (P1224)and power it withan Alpine PDX 1.600. The box fits very well.

RE: Sound Systems
You can get the box itself for $139 at crutchfield.
This is what I was going to get and install an Infinity Perfect 12". I would have been fine with a 10" but I can't find a box like this in a 10"
I will look around though, I maybe be able to find it cheaper. Crutchfield has decent prices, but I can sometimes find a better price.

RE: Sound Systems
I got the mtx thunderform. Don't buy from crutchfield, they were way too much. I can't recall the company I got mine from but I found their store on ebay. It was about 215.00 delivered. The mtx speaker that comes with it is decent and works well, I have the vert so it is like putting the sub in a barrel. It should be more than enough with 250 watts. A powered box is available but I am running mine with a separate amp. Like I said, I have the vert and it was the only one I could find that fit it. It uses every nook and cranny of the corner of the trunk so it doesn't take up too much space while still having plenty of interior volume in the box. Also it looks like it is part of the car and install is a piece of cake.
The pictures I saw of it prior to purchase did not show that it comes with a plastic cage in front of the speaker to keep things from hitting the sub when you are slinging around corners. The only problems I have had is that in the vert with the sealed trunk it will rattle the license plate.
