On a 07 Mustang which is not going to be a daily driver I am trying to remove the wipers. Cannot get them to budge off those press fit tapered shafts. Even tried a small gear puller. Am I missing something? Anyone done this? Fill me in. Thanks

 

Removal

NOTE: New wiper pivot arms need to be installed as an assembly.Remove the 2 wiper pivot arm nut covers.[/ol]
[*]Remove the 2 nuts and the 2 wiper pivot arms.[/ol]
Installation
[ol][*]Cycle and park the windshield wipers.[/ol]
[*]Install the wiper blade and pivot arm onto the pivot shaft.
[*]Align the wiper blades to 33-45mm (1.29-1.77 inches) for the RH wiper blade, and 39-52mm (1.53-2.05 inches) for the LH wiper blade.[/ul][/ol]
[*]Install the 2 wiper pivot arm nuts.
[*]Tighten to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).[/ul]
[*]If necessary, adjust the wiper pivot arms. For additional information, refer to Wiper Blade and Pivot Arm Adjustment in this section.[/ul][/ol]
[*]Install the 2 wiper pivot arm nut covers.[/ol]

I have removed the nuts your mention in your description. Arms won't budge. Guess Ford over torques. Thanks

 

You need the ford tool.
Go to your stealership and
see if they will loan it to you.
