You can get a lot more s/c for less $$$ than a roush. They pretty much factor the warranty into the price of the blower.

Hmmm
Knocking a company he does not sell (Saleen) and recommending
one he does (Roush). Sounds like salesman BS to me. Have him
show you proof or knock it off with the BS.

There has been talk of Saleen's demise for the last 15+ years.

For '08, Saleen is: (1)introducing two new cars (the Heritage edition and the Supercharged Heritage), (2)dropping its new, stroked 302 engine into several models (including a 600+hp Extreme), and (3)continuing to roll out its new supercharged F-150 (the 450hp S331). Also, Ford has chosen Saleen to provide its supercharger as a factoryoption on the Harley Davidson pick-up and Dodge has contracted Saleen to paint every one of its new Vipers at Saleen's Troy, MI facility. Does this sound like a company that's going out of business?

The Saleen Aftermarket division has been EXTREMELY professional and has been EXPANDING like crazy in the past year. They opened the Saleen store last year, are at every Fun Ford Weekend. These guys REALLY care about what they're doing, they fly all around the country simply to introduce Saleen Aftermarket. NOW, I want to be very clear, we are a SALEEN DEALER. But I wouldn't post this if it wasn't true, I simply wouldn't post anything...

In terms of chargers, we sell Saleen, Roush, Procharger, and Kenne Bell. This is my honest opinion from all the installs we've done (and we've done every one of them).....

Saleen's Advantages: Incredible power with little boost. Good price, easy on the motor (standard and 475HP kit), excellent HP gain, and it's REALLY good looking. It's a very SHOWY blower, looks awesome under the hood. This is the one we have on the THR Saleen and we've really enjoyed it....

Roush Advantages: THE WARRANTY! A really solid supercharger for someone who wants to be conservative about upgrading and not lose warranty! Another very good looking blower, and obviously is put together not to blow up a motor!

Procharger Advantages: POWERFUL, intercooled for efficiency and daily driving. Less expensive than Saleen & Roush (for the HO kit). UPGRADABLE, so you can start with a standard P-1SC and move upfrom there!

Kenne Bell Advantage: Expensive but insane power, comparable to the Series VI. The one we installed on the GT500 took it to 838HP... http://texashotrods.blogspot.com/. And yes, I believe it's safe for the motor as well, just keep the PSI down....

Thanks again!

Lizzie

This guy needs to be put in his place! How could Steve Saleen be fired from a company that he started and owns?

yeah it's hard for such an inefficient roots blower such as Roush to do any engine damage lol...and yeah there's the warranty but that's pretty much rolled into the price, just like that "free tires for life" [sm=bs.gif]some stealerships try to pull on you...I also noticed that Ford's powertrain warranty went to 5/60 but no mention of Roush extending their coverage past 3/36 so WTF?

Saleen going down the drain?

Explain to me howa company that barely touches up cars then sales them with an insane markup could ever go under? Didn't think so. Shelby, Rousch, Saleen, they'll be successful forever.
