So, the parts guy at Metro Ford in Calgary instantly knocks my thought of getting a Saleen supercharger, saying that Saleen is going down the tubes real quick & that Steve Saleen was fired vs retirment. He then proceeds to tell me how much Roush stuff he sells, and even knocks another dealer who I normally deal with for parts (who has been nothing but top notch).

I don't trust him.....as Jared at Saleen has been prompt and very informative when I have asked him tons of questions.

Any rumours you fellow board members hear?

Its amazing the lies sales guys cook up. I looked at an Evo (loooong time ago) and the guy said there were only 1500 made. So i asked why there were4 in the parking lot and he made up another story. Saleen isnt going anywhere

KB? Haha, no thanks. To MUCH boost for the stocker internals in my mind. Ill stick with about 400 rwhp.

I read in another thread that Brent from Brenspeed suggested the Saleen if you can afford it.

In my mind, that's a pretty solid recommendation. I haven't heard much about the Roush that was all that favorable in comparison to the others.

Do your research before making such an uninformed opinion. KB has been making spot on kits for the Mustang for quite some time. The stock engine can easily handle the 400-445 rwhp that the KB kit and tune produces. I haven't heard of any ill effects from a KB install yet. Those with issues are those folks pushing 10+ psi and over 475 rwhp. Even that much is pretty safe unless your hammering on it all the time. Believe me KB wouldn't advertise a 445 rwhp for the Mustang 4.6L if it was going to jeopardize the engine, and their reputation.
