Default Factory Fill

This may be trivial to most, but I just got back the UOAon my GT’s factory fill. I changed the oil when I drove it home from the dealer. We have been led to believe Ford fills our GTs with MC 5W-20. Mine was not filled with Motorcraft 5W-20. The analysis indicated 82/11.8 cSt, indicating a solid 10W-30. The Boron level was 50 and the Moly was around 180 ppm, so it definitely was not Conoco-Phillips / Motorcraft oil. The factor filter “X” was still intact so I know the dealer didn’t change the oil. Moly and Boron levels look like a Pennzoil or Shell product to me, but who knows.

Wow, all I can say is who cares. How many Mustangs did they ship out without any problems with the oil? 100%?

I never meant there was a problem. I always change out the oil on a new vehicle as soon as I get it home. I have no complaints about the dealer either. I was just surprised what I found out about the oil. If it's Motorcraft, it's not the stuff we buy off the shelf.
