Default Question about Pypes axle backs.

Hey all,

I have been looking at Pypes axle backs for my latest addition. I was wondering if anybody else has had any experience with these and what their thoughts about them are. Also, does anybody know where I can get a sound clip for them? I went to their website and the only sound clips I could find were for another system.

Thanks a ton!

EDIT: I am looking into the muffler delete system. NO VIOLATORS.

the mid-muffler system seems promising but its very new. Only mass available for about a month or so now.... Anyways it seems to sound nice, for $310 for a nice mid muffler w/tips setup it ain't bad at all.

+10 I love my Pypes 66 mid-muffs. Will never go back to axlebacks.

Has anyone installed this themselves yet? Is it something I can do in my garage on my back?

Very easy install and sound great. Here's a video of my car before and after adding an off road h pipe.

Well I dont have the deletes but I did start my car when I had the axle backs off. Didn't like the sound at all, Got alot of pops and bangs and in general did not sound good or deep. The car was cold but I dont think it would have gotten better. Will adding a longer section of pipe change this, dont know for sure but I doubt it.

If you are really curious just undue your axle backs and give a listen.

I put on the pypes violater's because they were cheap and I didnt have alot of cash at the time. Overall I like the sound but it does drone from 1500-2000 rpms in 5th.

If I had it to do over again I would get the pypes mid muffler set-up, cheap and the clips I have heard sound good.

Man, I'm gonna have to put in the O/R h-pipe in again considering my wife no long drives the car.
