As i sit and wait for my 05 silver premium black leather shaker 500 bullitt wheels with anti theft 5 speed , and iup that was ordered 11/08/04 and still is not scheduled for build. I sit and ponder was it worth selling my 2002 millenium yellow 6 speed to get this car. any thoughts without being too harsh!

I sold my C5 for an 03 GT. Mainly because of money, and the fact I never had a garage. If you can afford the vette, if you have a garage, keep it; you'll miss the torque.

 

Roboha, I still own three stangs including my daughter's o5, my name for insurance purposes. I bought a 01 Cobra vert back in June of 01. Nice car ran well except, uncontrolable wheel hop at hole shot. A radio that kept eating CDs. A transmission that would grind between 1-2 and 3-4 shifts when cold and window seals that leaked no matter how many times the car went back to the dealer. I offered to pay the dealer the difference to install a T-56 in place of the 3640 piece of crap that Ford put behind a motor making 320 hp. They told me no they couldn't swap the tranney for insurance and warranty purposes. Frustrated I traded the Cobra for a 50th AE Corvette Coupe. I've never had a problem with the Vette even with the IRS had no problems wtih hole shots and it is also almost a full second faster in the 1/4 with only 30 more horse than the 01 Cobra. Oh, on another note. My insurance on the Cobra vert was a little over three grand a year. The Vette is just under a grand. Go figure. Still love the stangs but the vette has the edge with performance handling.

 

I'd never trade a Vette for a Mustang, that's like taking a step down. Did you already get rid of the Vette, if not I'll trade you my 03 GT.

 

Keep the vette!! Or, better yet, save it and get the new c6!! That would rock!

I say you decline the order on the 05 GT-- the vette is a hundred times better than the new stang.

 

I SOLD THE VETTE 11/07/04 I ORDERED THE GT 11/08/04 I AM 51 YEARS YOUNG AND THAT MUSTANG GT REMINDS ME OF THE 1968 SHELBY I JUST HAD TO HAVE SO I WILL PAY CASH FOR THE STANG AND PUT 6K IN THE BANK MY SON LIKED TO HAVE DIED WHEN I TOLD HIM WHAT I DID!

Very true. I definetally would have kept the vette. I was gonna buy a vette before I got my GT but 700 bucks (it was used) a month compared to about 400. Thats a no brainer. I will make my GT faster the a Z06 when I'm done with in anyway.

 

Blue have you seen the numbers on the new z06 due out in 2006? 7 litre over 500 advertised hp. The cost though estemated at 71 K.
