Sweet Mach 1. Used to cruise in my friends just like that but Silver and Black. We took it through a cotton field once, just to beat the traffic leaving a Ratt/Twisted Sister concert back in the early 80's, that was out in a field because city wouldn't let the band's perform in the city limits.

It's not a photo chop. I painted them. Paint I used was rust oleum industrial primer - 2 coats and rust oleum red industrial paint - 4 coats.

How long did it take to paint them? I ordered a Black GT and should have it next month and wanted to paint mine as well. Did you have to sand them or do any other prep work before applying the primer?

Since the car had only 2500 miles didn't have to do a whole lot of cleaning. It took me 2 weekends to do it because of the paint drying time(I did the front ones first then the rear). I didn't do any sanding. I took them apart, removed caliper from mounting bracket, removed brake pads and removed the mounting bracket, but didn't remove the brake lines(I didn't want to deal with the mess of bleeding the brakes) I cleaned all the parts with a brake cleaning solution, then followed with degreaser using a brush. Rinsed them out with water and let them dry for a couple hours. Masked everything I didn't want paint overspray. The rest is history. I'll try to get some close up pics this weekend.
