Please explain
I am ready to go buy new wheels and tires, but I do not understand alot of the terminology so would someone please help me understand.
what is offset?
what does the 8.5, 7.5 and such mean and which is best?
what is deep dish and is that ok on the '05
How much is the ride going to change if I go from 16 to 18, or 16 to 20?
if I go to 18 or 20 am I going to need to lower my car?
Is there a brand of wheels you absolutely would not buy and same for tires.
Sorry for all the questions but I would rather go in knowing what I am talking about, instead of the dumb girl routine. I see all the posts about the subject but when you don't know what it all means it really doesn't help.
Thank you in advance for your help

what is deep dish and is that ok on the '05 Go to Americanmuscle.com under 2005 Mustang wheels and you will see what they look like.
How much is the ride going to change if I go from 16 to 18, or 16 to 20? No experience with 20's but I had no problem with my 18's ride difference from my 17's
if I go to 18 or 20 am I going to need to lower my car?. You don't have its up to you.

8.5 and 7.5 is how wide the rim is. 8.5 would be a good size.
Deep dish is how big the lip of the rim is. My are deep all around. It's the silver part of my rims. I like big lips.
20's ride good IMO. You'll be able to get more sidewall tire on an 18 for a softer ride. Lowering is all up to you. It'll look good either way.

Ok rim size I used to looking at 8, 9 or 10.5 lol
I am having a problem with the offset. I am trying to stay in the 40-45mm range as you suggested, but every wheel I like is a 35mm offset, would that work or is that too much of a difference. I have been looking at a 20inch with 8.5inch width.
