Automatic to Manuel conversion swap! SOLUTION HERE..I think
I just posted this in another thread, but the auto isn't that much slower than a manual. 0-60 best is 4.9 for a manual, and 0-60 best for an auto is 5.1 (per motor trend).
I think the primary difference may by the fun factor; I got a manual pretty much for that reason, even though it's a daily driver.

You are correct....there isnt anything wrong with an auto at all.....it can perform just the same if not better than a manual, you have to actually know how to drive a stick to do well at the track....the fun factor is about the only real difference.....hell i know that i can race an auto better cause i still dont have the "good driver mod" down yet!

It would be worth it to dump the auto at any cost!

Ummm. So why didn't you post the whole reply?
A: We would like to tell you that we have just what you need, but the truth is.....there aren't any kits made to do a changeover. It's our opinion that changing a vehicle from automatic to standard shift operation is a monumental task. To begin with, the parts alone can cost from $1,500.00 to $3,000.00 on average. Add to this the labor involved in the swap (20 - 85 man-hours), and you have a real job on your hands. But, before you can start any of this, you will need to scour the wrecking yards for every nut, bolt, bracket, pedal, bushing, spring, retaining clip, & hose that will be required. It shouldn’t take more than about 2 -3 weeks to gather all that stuff.
