I don't like the way that JBA setup sounds at all.
GT Premi,

Instead of whinning about what you don't like as you seem to have done before, how about posting a clip of of what you do like for a change? At least offer us something constructive instead of simply spouting off.

The clip I posted has the sound of healthy American V-8 power all the way from the slight header ping to the easy bark and rattle during throtle rev and lift. What I don't like is an exaust system that make the GT's V-8 sound like a V-6. Flowmaster, Corsa and Borla systems all make the GT's V-8 sound like a V-6 engine so I don't care for them. I had high hopes for the Flowmaster system based on the performance and sound of the 2 chambers I had on my old '66 2+2 and the fantastic music comming out a pair of Delta50's I heard from a small block '69 Camero I heard at the last NHRA Cruise night at the NHRA Museum but the Flowmaster 05 GT system sound clip sounds just like a Honda V-6 with big cans out back.

In case you missed the JBA system here it is again: http://www.jbaheaders.com/Sound%20Fi...ustang_rev.mp3
Here is the Flowmaster 05 system for the GT: http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/cg...ml?id=PXIwnCEM

Just my 2 cents.

I guess that's why we have several different products because not everyone likes the same thing. Myself I like flowmasters. I heard V-6's and 4 cilinders before with aftermarket mufflers, coffee cans or whatever you want to call them and they don't sound nothing like a Mustang with flowmasters.

BTW, you can't compare those soundclips. The flowmaster is with stock exhaust manifold and cats. The only thing they have on the car are the mufflers. The JBA clip is with long tube headers, X-pipe (no cats) and aftermarket mufflers (can't remember if they are Borlas or what). If you put long tube headers and X-pipe, the Flows will sound a little meaner.
Disclaimer - Just my opinion and not trying to start anything here.

When I find something that I like, I will post it, thank you. That JBA system is certainly not it. And, to me, it doesn't sound like a "healthy American V8." Flowmaster normally makes a Mustang sound like a Mustang, but they dropped the ball this time. If I wanted something that sounded like a GM V8, I would by a vehicle with a GM V8. All these Borla, Magnaflow, etc. systems make Mustangs sound like Camaros or, worse, just plain obnoxious. That JBA setup slides more toward the obnoxious side. That's just my opinion. If you don't like it, there's no need to be offended.

And I have yet to see a Civic or any other 4- or 6- cylinder car sound like a Mustang GT with Flowmaster 40-series American Thunder mufflers. Heck, other V8s don't even sound that good! Don't get your undies in a wad. Just because I don't like the sound of that JBA setup doesn't mean it's an insult to you because you do like it.

[edit]
I listened to the clip you posted, again. I still don't like it. If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the Flowmasters. What I hear with that JBA is a system with not enough back pressure to produce decent torque on the low end. I would venture a guess that someone wouldn't feel a positive difference until way up in the RPM range, and probably would feel a defecit on the low end. Add a supercharger or turbo to that and it would be a different story.

I like to hear that JBA running a strip not idling. I do think I do like the JBA better. That Flowmaster does sound like a V-6.
