Haynes or Chilton?

Other than shop manuals/CDs what is better Haynes or Chilton?

Apples to oranges, both are fruit, and I prefer neither. I've seen some hare-brained stuff in either, so I usually get both, and it's mostly for the pictures, not the procedures. I recall one (can't remember which) that for a Chevy S10 pickup, instructed you to remove the entire cab of the truck to remove the transmission! Pity the fool who listened to those instructions, I feel bad for beginners sometimes.

Factory manuals or Bentleyare my usual preference..

AJ is right on the money with this. After the factory manuals (from Helminc, for example), buy both the Haynes and Chilton for supplemental info/pictures and entertainment. IF I had to choose between Haynes and Chilton I would pick Chilton.
