I was thinking of relocating the port, too, the stock location is pretty in the way for live use. I can't think of any harm that would come from relocating it.

Something like what you linked should work fine. Don't look at it as extending the OBDII port, look at it as tho its an extension on whatever your plugging into the OBDII port, because thats all it really is. I've used them in the passed and they work fine.

Because when I have my Diablosport tuner plugged in doing realtime data logging, my knee keeps hitting the connector.
Unscrew the connector where it attaches to the dash and maybe
you can tuck it up higher away from the ol knee. Or buy a cable...
