This is a silly thread if you dont like it dont spend 25-30k on it but keep in mind you will not find a better sports car for the money I get tired of hearing people bitch about this stuff, the interior is fine and imo tastefully done. So for between 25-30k you get a fairly powerful easily modifyable(I know its not a word) automobile that right now is the best looking car on the market(I have been told this by strangers a number of times). If you want to drive a living room then by a lexus or something.

Oh and BTW I dont care how much you spend there will always be something wrong, NOTHING is perfect.
+1 Well Said.. right on the money..

Thanks for the input how to get the mustang under 6 sec. if its really higher then that, still I would like to know the top speed, I hope at least 250 km/h

The Shelby is a4.9-ish second car (seen 4.7-8-9 quoted), not the stock GT. Manual GT is a little over 5 seconds. It takes a huge amount to get the time a lotlower hence the closeness.
Now, the 0-120mph time, that is a different story [8D]

Road and Track Magazine - April 2005 – Stock Mustang GT 0 – 60 4.9 sec.

Buy it man. My girlfriend won a V6 Mustang at the race track we race at...........100% free. At that time I had BMW Z3 and a Dodge Stealth TT. For 3 years I had a bad case of car envy, we repainted it, put a ton of mods on it, just overalla fun car and great looking. Then I had an "event" that happened in my life and decided WTF you can't take it with you and you only live once so.....I $hit-canned the BMW and bought a 2007 Shelby GT, the black one. I don't know how to describe the feeling of a Mustang, it's like having the koolest looking chick in town. I know my Stealth will smoke the Shelby in the 1/4 mile but..........just the looks you get from people, it's a high, I get goosebumps everytime I take her out.

Silly question when asked on a Mustang forum it will be hard to find someone here to say not to buy a stang, I think we all love our cars. You'll love the speed I also own a motorcycle I drive a 2005 GSXR 1000 it has about 180hp with the mods on it. ( http://www.sportbikez.net/picture/19504) Stang has plenty if not take the advise of 2k05gt he has a good list of speed mods. Good Luck.....

The interior upgrade package comes with a leather wrapped dash (quite possibly the single best part of the upgrade), console, and arm rests.
It is worth every penny.

My car's interior IMHO is far better than that of most "imports" in the same price range. It also has a wonderful nostalgic quality to it of course.
The biggest downfall to the interior is the ebrake handle (which is still rubber even in the upgrade package).

The bottom half is fairly stock Ford as well. Standard climate control and corporate radio. But they don't look out of place or anything, they just are cookie cutter -- our Explorer has the same looking radio, except my Mustang's has "Shaker 500" written on it instead

I love the car -- and get comments and looks all the time. And this is the car's 3rd year in America!!! Imagine what response you'd get in Europe!

Never have I had a car that has attracted so much attention. Not the Vette or TransAm (actually the T/A got more looks and thumbs up than my Vette).

You'll love it, and 0-60 times have been reported from 4.9 seconds to 5.5 seconds. That's about what you are looking at. 6.5 must have come from Sport Compact Magazine or Top Gear or something
