RE: New Pa Inspection
you can read it for yourself. go to www.dmv.state.pa.usand in the search box in upper left corner type in "reconstructed and modified vehicles". The top result that comes up is a 5 page fact sheet on the new law (The fact sheet is dated April 07). Go to page 4 and read some of the examples that qualify as "modified". Adding ground effects, adding lift or lowering springs - these all qualify as "modified". I didn't want to belive it either, but there it is. I printed this out and stopped in at my Ford dealership yesterday. Showed it to the sales manager and service manager. They said they were aware of it but if I brought my "modified" Mustang in there for inspection, they would pass it without question as long as it looked mechanically sound and passed emissions with the cold air kit on. Basically they said play dumb because even the police don't want to be bothered with it, unless your driving like an idiot in which case it just gives them one more thing to fine you for.
