Just installed Hurst shifter...
If you don't like the white ball this could be an alternative, I had a 71 Dodge Charger, Hurst Handle, this link could give you some ideas.

Ohnoesaz, I have the black ball (white shift pattern on it) on my Hurst, which I think goes better with the black interior. It's part #530-163-0108 at jegs.com.
Give your new shifter lots of time, with all types of driving miles. After a while, you might find out that nothing else will do.

I love the idea of the short shift throws and love the look of the hurst in older muscle cars, but don't really like the look ofit inour cars. The interiors almost seem too "nice" for something so retro. That's just my opinion though. My real question isif there are anyshort shift kits thatallow you to retain the stock shifter setup.

- That white ball is not cool like I thought it would be! It clashes with the whole interior.

There's a replacement stick that you can use instead of the chrome handle that allows you to use the stock **** with the Hurst. I'm having a very hard time finding it anywhere. Nobody seems to be carrying it. JEGS has it in their catalog but they're out of stock.

Do you know if all hurst sticks use the same 'ribbed' attachment area, and the same 2 holes with the same distance? If so then theres a few on summit that have a nice cool curve to them... not sure what will fit?

i absolutely hated the white ball on my hurst. the day I had it installed was the day I ordered a black ball from Jegs.

Also, like my question above, I might get a new stick all together, with an angle so I can keep my arm on the console. Do you know if Hurst sticks are the same connection size across all hurst shifters?

My hurst is in the mail
