no pics, its not as exciting as you think

anyway I saw approximately 14,592 V6 s197's, only 3 Mustang GT's, 1 Shelby GT-H, and a Ford GT (someone was actually driving it)

My question is, why are Mustang GT's so rare down there?

Different demographic maybe (ie people with less $$)? I think some people don't really care about the engine; they just want a Mustang.

When you said you saw a Fort GT, that reminded me of a few weeks ago (on the day I had traffic school) when I saw a caravan of at least four Ford GT's driving down Mac Arthur in Irvine, CA. I've seen several (one at a time) just driving around before, but to see four $150k cars driving back to back was pretty cool.

Margaritaville? sweet.

Back to your question. Rentals? How long is the drive to Miami? Could be a gas mileage issue.

Wow you counted 14,592 V6's...damn I lose count after 15, props for you remembering how many you saw...lol

I dont know about the keys but there are a lot of Mustang GT's here on the main land. I think a lot of the mustangs you saw there where the rentals, being that the Keys is a tourist spot.

What color was the Ford GT because I know a guy that lives by me with a grey one and goes down to the Keys a lot.

How many of them were convertibles?

My guess would be an average buyer would rather have a well equipped V6 convertible over a hardtop GT.

MAybe its because theres more mid age to older people down in the keys. its not really like a party spot so not many young people go down there. and assumming that most of the people driving the mustangs were midage - older, they were probably women and most women dont care how fast their car goes. To them a mustang is a mustang.

Can't speak for old men, and perhaps not for most women, but I am all for the GT. Friends who own a vacation home on Key West tell me that there is a large gay population. Do we have a representative?
