Default Pcm killing battery after ? amount of days?

I know the 05-06 mustang PCM kills the battery after a certain amount of days as a security function, My o6 dies after about 2 weeks, the 07 5 speed can sit for days or weeks on end with no problems? I am curious if anyone knows anything about this?

Thanks!

I have an 07 and it does the same thing. there are things that rae still running even with the car just sitting. Don't want the battery to get drained then unhook it from the car while it is going to be sitting for more than a week.

First time I've heard a flat battery being referred to as a security function LMAO

It's your shaker radio.

How do you know this? Explain. Never heard of that reason.
Did the stealership give you that excuse for a dead battery?

I agree. Ford is replacing the one in our '05 vert cuz it drained the battery (it's a daily driver). Gotta love having a warranty.

The shaker 1000 amps are known to cause a leak in the battery power

I was told by the Ford stealership about the battery and security and I was also told by others that they are full of it!! Also been told it is true for some type of anti-theft?? I was just curious if anyone else ever heard of it! I can't find anything about it in any literature at all??
