Glad I'm not the only one with these same thoughts! I took the shop vac to the perforated part today. Took my time and sucked most of it out I think.

I try not to fart in the stang, but if I absolutely have to, I'll lift my butt off the seat so it does'nt penetrate the leather[
]I also will not carry any take out fast food in my Stang as it interrupts the new car smell!

I didn't put my nose down to the seat to smell it or anything. I just took the flattened shop vac attachment and made wide sweeping motions across the perforated part of my leather seat. I concentrated it in the affected area.
I also didn't let it sit around for long after the incident. I did it pretty much right away. So anything lingering was probably sucked out.
