I bought my car used and it came with 245/45 17. I had to get a alignment over the weekend do to the front tires wearing on the inside tread. The alignment was out and the corrected but the tire had to be replaced. So choices? Do I keep the 245 or go back to stock 235/55 17. Well do to speed bumps and had how hard the ride is I deciede to go back to stock on all four. Man what a difference. No more scrapping on speed bumps. The ride is a whole lot smoother. I am very pleased!

Coulda stuck with the 245's and gone with 50 series tire. Keeps the ride height so you don't scrape and gives you a wider tire...

Man those are $250 a tire! I paid $94 tire and a set of four ran right at $500.

I put the 245/50/17s on mine and lowered it using Eibach springs. I don't scrap speed bumps at all.

245/50/17 shouldnt scrape even in a lowered vehicle unless you are going over a mountin, not a speed bump......i would think you might have something lower than it should.
