trunk interlooler pic

it helps keep the s/c cooler. but more cooler than you might think. also it makes it possible to put a lot of ice in the tank for track nights or street racing.when you s/c you get this tiny little reservoir, right next to or in front of the s/c in the engine bay. do you understand how hot it gets in their. your air will get cooler from the i/c but its still a small system, meaning it doesn't circulate very far. by moving it to the trunk i have made the system longer, and also keeping the coolant temp very low and by doing that keeping my iat temps very cool, and reducing the chance of detonation and a loss of timing, and thierfor not loosing much h.p due to temps and losss of timing

OK, it sounds like you are being innovative. That's cool. But it also looks like alot of extra work for minimal gain. The coolant tank located in the engine compartment is not the radiator, nor does it really absorb as much heat as you think. You would be far better off putting your battery in the trunk, which would transfer alot of weight to the rear and put your ice tank where the battery was. It would also be much better to put a larger intercooler radiator on the car.Check this one outhttp://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=skuThat puppy has about 6 times the cooling capacity of a stock intercooler. I put one on mine and it kicks booty. By the way, your ice will melt so fast, you will be refilling the tank every 5 minutes. Been there done that. But hey , if you like it go for it.
