I have spent enough money on performance mods for now. now i am looking into some audio mods. what should i do first to the shaker 500 system. i find it weird that the subs are in the door. all it does is make the side mirrors rattle so i cant see. please help me. list any suggestions on what i should do. thanks guys

 

Put a sub in the trunk. I've got the shaker 1000 and I really like it. You don't have to be a teenager to enjoy a subwoofer in your car! I used to drive a Cadillac with a sub in the trunk. If you leave it at normal listening levels, it will make your music come alive. I know the "Subs" in the Shaker 500 are in the doors, but they're really full-spectrum speakers, and not designed to reproduce subsonic frequencies. A properly tuned subwoofer will make the music sound better.

 

Ditch the shaker and upgrade speakers and HU......at least replace the 4 main 5x7/6x8s...that makes a huge improvement

Ditch the Shaker 500, and also add the Kenwood DVD system. Connects directly w/ your iPod and plays DVD. Also you can get Navigation and Bluetooth...

 

Same thing I did and I love it! I also added the XM addition for traffic/weather/etc... It's crazy!!!

 

I need to make this change soon, as well.

 

Get rid of the Shaker and get a aftermarket unit, I replaced my Shaker with a Pioneer AVICZ1 and will soon be replacing all the speakers adding a better amp and subs in the trunk like Toad said you dont need to be a teenager to want crisp clean sound it makes the car sound alive, BTW make sure to get the Pionner bypassed to enjoy its fool potential.
