Oil blow-by cured with oil separator and still on original belt (6 months now). Regarding the belts: the Saleen uses a different belt wrap than the Whipple, from what I understand.

I too have read on another forum that they're having belt issues with the Whipple but I think is track related/speed shifting. I haven't read anything about it here though.
I've been reading those posts as well. I will never powershift my car because replacing transmissions is not something I care to do often. Anyone know a belt that will fit which doesn't cost $80? I can't see paying that much for a freaking belt! If I have belt issues i'm going to be pissed.

Welcome to the Whipple brotherhood. I also did my own install. I can commiserate on the fuel pump install, it took me an over an hour to install with gas fumes in my face and in 108 degrees. To answer Scotte28516 question if the HO Whipple is warranted from Ford, the answer is no! The only version that Ford will Warranty for one year is the non-HO version on the manual transmission. Ford will not Warranty any car with a Whipple that has an automatic period. I personal spoke to Art Whipple about this before I purchased. I live 10 miles from Whipple and I was at their facilities today so they could flash my computer to let it know it now has 3.73 gears. Whipple is an outstanding company I had some problems, and they took care of me, they back what they make.

Whipple HO S/C 10 PSI Pulley, 430RWHP, 412FTLB torque, 08 FRPP HO Automatic Whipple Tune, Eibach Pro system +, Tungsten Grey Automatic with 3.73, FRPP X-Pipe, Mac Axle-back, Coast Driveline, Steeda Panhard, lower control arm, Upper control arm. To many mods to list
Wow! Thanks for answering a question that I never asked! I have a Whipple on my car already, and can care less about the warranty.I stated that there is no warranty with any Whipple at all.

Yep, the back end on thesecarsis outa control with lots of ponies, Springs, shocks, control arms, relocate brackets, panhardand and a real anti-sway bar will settle it down. That's what I had to do, and it's worth it.

Congrats! What were the deciding factors for you choosing the whipple - I'm debating the Whipple vs the Roush due to the fact that I am keeping my warranty. But I don't know which gives the most for the money performance wise?
Here was my short list of wants:
[ul][*]Manageable power[*]Retain streetability[*]Maximize investment (IE I added up the cost of exhaust/CAI/93 tune, ETC, ETC and it still was not even in the ballpark of bang for your buck thata S/C would provide[/ul]

Before I settled on the Whipple I researched Saleen, Vortech, Roush...basically the usual suspects. I *almost* wentwith Saleenas I like their set up to obtain a good dose of power at a low boost level (4 PSI). My buddy has a fully decked out Saleen and it's impressive. Thing is, to get toward the 480HP mark you need to add on their intercooler set up and by the time the whole kit arrived in Canada I was pushing $8000USD. Ouch.

Anyways, long story short, I kept coming back to Whipple. I liked their reputation for producing high quality set ups. Posting on the forum here has shown me that they have garnered respect from those who have the kits installed so that kind of sealed the deal. I also liked that they were in cahoots so to speak with Ford Racing. Love them or hate them, I like that most of the components have "Ford Racing" branded on them. Kinda has that still all Ford feel about it if that makes any sense.

As for Warranty, it's been debated long and hard as to whether a S/C (HO or not) voids it. My take? If I blow up my internals it's my own fault and that gives me an excuse for a stroker set up. Outside of that, I am of the opinion that the dealer still has to PROVE the S/C was the root cause of whatever failed so I have a small degree of faith in the other components that could go clunk in the night. Oh yeah, my bro is a wizard of a mechanic so that helps too (just in case)....lol.... [8D]
congrats on your new found power....as far as having to add on the intercooler setup to the Saleen as an extra....I never knew it came without it....mine was $4000 USD complete from Saleen factory which of course included the intercooler...I researched their site and could not see where it was offered without the intercooler...I have seen others also post that the saleen did not come with an intercooler from some places but have yet to find them..doesnt matter anyways...you made a great choice with your whipple...congrats again..have fun and keep safe

Congrats on a great kit!![sm=icon_cheers.gif]

The whipple is my personal favorite for an all around street car. Good times ahead...good times. Don't worry so much about dyno numbers and track ET's for now. You've got plenty of time...

Just get out and enjoy that biatch for awhile....

I couldn't agree more. I've said before and I'll say it again, when I started making big power, the #1 best mod on my car was the BMR Extreme anit-roll bar hands down for both street and strip.
