Default 2008 "Vapor" is it the same as Tungsten?

Curious if the Vapor which replaced Tungsten is the same...didn't know if anyone has seen it in person

It looks pretty close, but I bet it's a little different.

No tungstang is more of a grey purple while vapor is mineral grey without the metal flakes.

No! Tungsten is a dark grey/silver. Vapor appears to me more of a beige/hint of green like picture above. They replaced Tungsten Grey??? I did not get that memo. [sm=smiley13.gif]

I saw a Vapor car today in person in bright sun. It's definitely a slightly darker shade of silver with a lot of larger metal flakes. Its much nicer and crisper and more silver than Tungten or the previous Satin silver. I did not see any hint of green, but some platinum. I looked closely because I was torn between this really nice new colour with red interior or Torch red/red interior. In the end I chose the Torch red/red, but it was a 2008 factory order , so I have about three weeks to change my mind if I want, before the car is built.

Once they assign a VIN you can't change the order, I'm pretty sure, regardless of when it will be built. Just something to keep in mind.

Yes sadly Tungsten is gone, after only 2 years. In person the Vapor doesn not look that green, it is much more muted. It really is a sharp color just not happy Tungsten is gone.
