Forgot! Is there a chip you can buy to enhance performance?
Thanks

RL,

1. The SCT XCalibrator is the chip that you asked about. It's not a "chip" per se, it's a computer tuner that jacks into the Mustang's onboard computer and fine tunes the settings to give you a bit more power. It is almost necessary to do this after many mods, just because they change the inputs (air, fuel, etc) that the Mustang is taking in. Here's a link:

http://www.mustangtuning.com/sctxc9.html

2. The Steeda CAI (Cold Air Intake) is a kit that is used to feed the Mustang more cold air than the stock airbox gives it. The GT version (out now) gives an increase of 26 hp (with an SCT XCalibrator tune). The V6 (according to a sales rep I emailed) isn't coming out for another 4-6 weeks. Here's a link to the current GT kit:

3. I couldn't find the K&N drop in air filter (not enough time) but here's a Steeda air filter link:

Good luck!

AEM will have a Brute Force for the V6 Mustang out in a couple months. I will post on here when it is ready to be released and I will post dyno figures. I am in the process of trying to find a V8 for development. Hope this helps.

Your "lil summin summin", V6 Steeda Air Kit, looks like its only for 94-04 Mustangs. Thanks for trying to get our hopes up tho!

hey surveyor,
im getting a 05 v6 too, and the best things you can do for it are the xcalibrator, which actually finetunes the mustangs on board computer chip that controls shifting, throttle response, etc, and helps it have more aggressive lower gears and better throttle response. Also I would definately look for that steeda cai when it comes out, if you want to go big $$ just wait for a supercharger...that would do the trick

Thanks for help! Will the xcalibrator void the warrenty? Would re-tuning the motor with it effect the longevity of the motor. Can you all suggest any exhaust mods? Sorry for so many questions.
