Default mileage...

whats up everyone...i was just wondering if you guys and gals have the same anxiety that i have when i watch the miles on the odometer going up? for some reason, i feel like im putting a crapload of miles on my car, even though i havent been driving it that much. maybe its more of a mental thing, but it drives me f'in nuts.

I understand what you are saying..........I only drive mine for fun or on the weekends. Seems like the miles "creep" up easily, most likely because the car is enjoyable to drive. I have had my car 15 months and have 6500 miles on it.........but it is only a play-around car.

you're not alone. Ive got the same problem. I lose sleep at night if i puta lot of miles on my car in a day. And I'm dreading watching the odometer roll onto 25000. I might need to chack into the pysche ward.

Disconnect the speed sensor and the miles just sit there unchanged no matter
how far or fast you drive. You need a MSD dashhawk to be able to
read your RPMs and MPH, though. By the way the MSD DashHawk rocks.
I,ve had mine for only 2 days and cant quit playing with it. He he he

cant dealerships tell you did that...lets say if i try to trade it in eventually? Also, i bought my car about 3 weeks ago, used - i paid 21K out the door with 24,000 miles...which for an 05, is not bad at all....i cant stop myself from looking at the odometer! every mile is like a punch in the back of the head...it drives me insane.

Not me. We got this car knowing it would see 75 miles everyday. Made to be driven and enjoyed. If it breaks, fix it. If it wears out, replace it.

I do. I'll have about 13000 when my 1 year mark comes around. Not bad considering the drive to school and my gf is pretty far. Once I'm done with school I'll be putting less on.

I turn off the information center so I don't have to see the mileage.

Almost 5000 miles in 6 months.... and I only live 16 miles from work. The car is just so much fun to drive. That and the every Sunday early morning cruise which puts about 100-120 miles on every week.
