Default Gear shift vibrations

I have an 07 Manual GT and have been having alot of vibrations through the gear shift lately. Was just wondering if anyone has had this problem and what they or ford did?

My guess is going to be break-in period. The tranny is quiet when purchased, but as the metals and tranny gears 'break-in' then loosen up and become clunky. I think thats what you're referring to.

Yes, the manual GTs use Mercon ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid).

Im skeptical on switching to RP due to it not being an ATF, and due to people saying RP is bad for the metals inside the tranny in the long term. No one has said RP has blown up their car so maybe it actually is ok.

I switched to Mobil 1 ATF and it was horrible. I then went to Red Line D4 ATF, nice stuff indeed. Either way, this tranny clunks and theres no complete fix.

The RP, for the most part, fixed my tranny... almost zero noise, and clunks... definitely worth it... easy to do as well

I am talking about a vibration that is not a tranny clunk or noise. It mostly happens at when I am around 3000 or more RPMS. The whole shifter vibrates and makes a vibrating noise.

OOooooo. Nevermind then.

I think all shifters give a movement feel if you hold them, but a vibration noise is different... Take it to Ford, not a common problem I've seen around here.

Take the leather boot cover off the top of shifter and see if the bolts holding it down need to be tighten. If you don't want to bring it in to the dealership, go underneath and check all the connections betweens the shifter and the tranny. If that doesn't work, then I don't know. Tranny mounts?

Yeah, I just have to work out sometime to take it in. They are notquick with service work. Its not a badvibration butI notice it and it annoys me especially since it used to not do it.
