Default Modding when your not supposed to be?

Are you sneaking money out of your bank account without your significant other knowing?

Are you supposed to be saving money but still hide away a few bucks for your next mod?

When you get your check, are you only giving your wife or gf SOME money to put away instead of all you can so you can buy another mod?

Most of the time, we can sneak the money, buy our mod, install it, and the gf/wife will never notice even though its right on front of their faces!

But sometimes, boxes arrive at our doorstep for them to find, or "Brenspeed" shows up on the bank statement and they see it and start questioning you!!! BUSTED!

What do you say then???

What creative excuses have you used and how many times have you used them?

Tell us your stories, Im sure most of us have a couple, i know i do!

Ive alwasy told her all I spend and sometimes she mentions her kitchen which is planned and budgeted for at some point in the not too distant future. Ofcourse I havnt spent 15 or 20 thousand dollars yet either, but piece by piece I dont think she really minds much.

I know the story, got rid of the wife, so I have no dog barking at me when I get home, but I am sure many of you are lucky enough to have an understanding wife/gf

I stick with the dont ask dont tell philosophy. If I do get caught or its something real expensive like the S/C I want I really low ball what it costs. Told her a S/C is around $2500 she thinks thats way too much and stupid but finally relented when I told her I would wait for the warranty to run out. I only did it because I know she will never track it, if I wait about a year all is well.

Hate to think what she would do if she found out it is really $6k, and that I want to add gauges and a new clutch too.
