Off subject but how much did you spend on the unit and install?

Ouch $$$ ... any reason you chose the factory unit instead of a Pioneer or Kenwood?

Good job on keeping the Shaker (you can always ebay it to help finance the factory navi).

I was also wondering why you chose the factory navi over Pioneer/Kenwood, particularly the Kenwood DNX-7100, which is a pretty amazing unit at $1000 (ebay).

It sounds more like they were going to charge him $250 to get it back. That's a laugh!

Yes, they tookmy factory radio and wanted to charge $250 to get it back, I know that there is better navigation systems out therebut the reason I got the factory one is so it keeps theMustangs originality and value up in the future,in my opinion every timeyoushop forclassicMustangs for salethey are more sought after and worth moreif they only original factory parts, after market parts onMustangs are not a good idea in the long run.

Interesting concept... I installed the Kenwood but am keeping the Shaker 500 (needed a paper weight on my desk LOL). All I hear about the factory nav systems is negative things and limited access. No movie playing either!! or direct ipod connection. My sister has factory nav from Ford and it freezes up all the time. They usually have to reinstall something with it each time that happens.

They really tried to charge you $250 for the Shaker? WTF??
