Yeah, I`ve got the C&D that article is in. I`m optimistic, but the realist in me says "meh".

I personally think it`s a bad idea to try to one up the new Camaro and Challenger before they come out. I would rather see Ford hold back till the new guys hit the street and then blow them out of the water with a mid year trump card.

That would be the best marketing move for them. It doesn`t matter if Ford has a 400 horse Mustang or not. Someone that wants the new Camaro or Challenger is going to buy those cars. It will be an old school brand loyalty showdown. If Ford waits till the fervor dies down and then drops a big power motor then it will be the following year before the other guys can retaliate. That would give Ford a solid year of domination rather than just being competative when the new cars first come out.

Plus that will start the year to year power race like we had between the big three in the 60`s and 70`s. That`s what I`m looking forward to.

haha I have seen this before on this board. It is funny because it looks like a v6 that they are hiding something on the front end. Probably a test car for a new engine.

How do they know its a 2009 prototype? Couldn't it just be the Bullitt or some new mid-2008 variant with a reworked front end? Also, Daniel60 posted this image up in BuddyDank's restoration thread (pg. 26) - he didn't offer any explanation, but if you right click -> save as, then you'll find its called "2009 Mustang Concept". I hope they make it look something like this-

If it's gonna have a 6.2 option I'm already seeing the new camaro owners eat ish because with a 6.2 it will probably be running 450 or so hp N/A.

I think It should look lke this: not too far from aours, but a little more muscle look

and 6.2 L would be awesome, but don't count on it (you can still hope, though)
