Default Radiator Additives

I was thinking of either adding Water Wetter or Purple Ice, sometimes when I get out of my mustang I can hear water sizzling. Is it as easy as just pouring the bottle into the radiator?

If you hear sizzling, and bacon isn't anywhere near, you have an issue. That stuff isn't needed if your cooling system is functioning properly.

What you are hearing is the A/C orifice bleeding off the
compressed freon. Does this happen after driving without
the A/C on? This sometimes thing you mention makes me
think its the A/C bleeding thru the orifice into the evaporator
core. Sizzlin would be a trip to the stealership, not
water wetter. Whats the temp guage say?
Gotta love those owners who think a bottle of
this or that will fix a non-diagnosed problem.
I think its this, will this or that work? Hmmmmm

I agree with 157db that sounds like your sizzling which really isnt an issue to worry about. You can run the water wetter if your prefer its not going to hurt anything but follow the directions on adding it. Dont think its needed though

You are prob hearing the exhaust cool down. Don't know if additive is a great idea.

The drains for the AC are on both sides of the driveshaft right near
where the exhaust pipes are. Could be the AC draining condensate onto
the pipes. Crawl under there when it is happening and see whats going
on before the water wetter addition.

For what its worth.... Water wetter is not very protective of aluminum, according to several online tests. Google it. Hyperlube's additive finished tops, at least out of what is mass available.

Water running from the A/C dripping on the transmission case and or exhaust pipes. I put mine on a lift after running A/C and driving about 50 miles and got hot water dripped onto my face for my troubles
