i get all my oil from walmart every oil change. they have 5 quart jugs, and 1 quart bottles. i hope you havent been running only 5 quarts, or cheap stuff. i never noticed 6 quart jugs, but maybe crap brands come that way. btw, i wasnt saying anyone here is a jackass, i was saying that i feel like a jackass for having to pick up the extra quart.
Reread and edited. My bad.

Good to learn how to do, but once I learned I figured it was faster and easier to have a pro do it. JMO

It takes 6. The oil level in the bottles are not consistant.
Unless he bought one of those5 quart jugs?
How far off are those off Gidy? I always use the dipstick
marks on a level surface, pre-fill the filter, and run
it once and allow 15 minutes for proper drainback
before checking the final level and add the appropriate
amount then. This is workshop manual procedure.
[/qu

I do the 5 qt jugs and the oil level on the handles differ by an inch or so. Maybe 1.4 to 1/3 qt.

Hell no, Idon't take my car to the stealership unless I have to. I found a locally owned garage that does good work.Might cost more to have it done but less time out of my day

I agree wih destonn. The dealer is normally competitve whit h lof pricing. Just dont fall for the extra crap. I know, I work as a servive advisor for a dealership.

What do you mean a "pro"? The dealer?
Dealers have an extra bonus not advertised.
Its the free scratch and/or dent they usually
provide at the time of the service. Then
deny providing this service. "Must have
been there when you brought it in because
we are Professionals and do this day in and
day out". Weasles at the Stealership.
Excluding you, Thurman, of course.
Mustang Forum members are top notch
an would never allow such dents/dings/scratches
to occure during his possesion of the car.

PRO equals Quicky Lube??
PRO equals Uncle Goober?
