Default Gauge Questions

Ok, I've searched a bunch, but can't really find what i'm looking for. I want to get a center dash mount with 3 guages, trans temp, oil pressure, and water temp. If I buy the gauges, do they come with the electric sending units and the fittings i need to install them? If not, where doI get them and how doI know whatI need.
Also, I'm wondering exactly how to install these things, any write-ups out there someone could point me to? Thanks in advance, some of these might be really basic, but I just can't seem to find the info out there.

I just ordered my today from glowshiftdirect.com

they are LED lighted to match "my color" and they have all the gauges you posted.

They come in black, white, and tinted, with 7 different backround colors.

they come with the sending units, and all hardware.
they also have the 3 pillar pod for only $25 (on sale)

If you want the center pod you should check out classicdesignconcepts.com

ok, i guess my only remaining questions are:

1) How to install these? Any write-ups? Is it hard?

2) Are these gauges from glowshifdirect.com quality gauges? The ones in the link?

Default RE: Gauge Questions

Well first off you should by some good gauges - like Autometer.
The gauge comes with the sending unit - you don'y need to buy that seperately.
First you need to run the three wiring harnesses from the engine compartment through the firewall to the dash area.
- remove the negative battery cable
- remove the positive battery cable
- remove the battery tray (three bolts)
- remove the rubber plug in the firewall hole - this is below and to the right of the battery tray - it comes through right at top of carpet on passenger side. You will need to make a hole in the padding.
- insert a rubber ring in the hole that was unplugged
- feed you wiring harnesses through - gauge end first.
-pull your harnesses up to dash or pillar pod
- use plastic looms and wire ties to permanently secure wiring under dash and through firewall all the way to the sensor plugs.
- mount your gauges in pods and plug in harnesses - then mount the pods
- connect ground and power wiring - I used an "add-a-circuit" adapter in the fuseon a circuit that is switched with ignition
- under car front drivers side above oil filter remove the stock sending unit
- take that wire and make a solid groundto the subframe
- install the new sensor in that spot - use teflon tape
- attach thewiring plug to the oil pressure sensor
- lift car and run trans temp wiring to transmission area
- locate the line pressure test plug (1/8 npt) and remove that plug (there is one on either side of 5R55S) NO NEED TO TAP TRANNY PAN
- install the trans temp sensor in that location with teflon tape
- attach the wiring plug to the trans temp sensor

I did not do water temp gauge but that should be just as easy to instal the sensor.
