Cheap @$$ plastic

+1 you think this is bad look at the last generation. Ford had to make money on this car somehow, not everything can be top of the line.

Sorry if I sound too judgemental guys, but it just really pisses me off when I hear that kind of whiny bitching & moaning about "cheap plastic crap".
You all sound so freakin' SPOILED...!
I think the S-197 is a DREAM CAR: it's stunningly beautiful, powerful, and superior to almost everything else on the road- and all this for under $30K...!
What the **** is the MATTER with you people?!
Go take out a second mortgage on your house and buy a Bentley GT Coupe if that's what floats your boat- but stop whining about the "cheap plastic crap" on this fabulous Mustang.
JEEZ...!!!

I really don't care about the plastic. Yes it would be nice to have something else but you'd have to pay a higher price for it. I think Ford could of at least done a better job of muffling the rattles. Most cars have lots of plastic in them but our Stang's seem to have the biggest problem with rattles.

I don't know about those plastic screws, but this is just one of several threads that have been whining about the "cheap plastic interior" on the S-197, and I don't mind admitting that those people who aren't absolutely delighted about being able to own such a fabulous car as this are just ungrateful SNOBS who deserve to be driving a freakin' Prius.

well yea i know, im happy with my interior, i just hate the plastic screws that keep breaking, my interior issues are that and the noise rattles that ford cant manage to properly fix when i take her in lol
You could just trade in your Mustang for a Honda...........or you could pay 93K for a porsche 911 turbo.......I hear there ain't much plastic in those......
Quit your whining, you girl.

Don't know if I've just been particularly lucky or what, but I've had my baby for 10 months now and have never heard a single squeek or rattle- not one, and that's on Jersey's notoriously lousy roads.
Look, the reason I get so bent out of shape from hearing all those "cheap plastic interior" remarks is that I find it hard to believe that those folks are so bloody spoiled that they don't appreciate how LUCKY they are to own such a dream car.
After 10 months I still smile every time I start her up, and after driving my beater for a day ('94 Olds 88 LSS), I love the Stang even more.
C'mon people, don't you realize what a treat it is to own a car like this?
If not, then I really feel sorry for you. [:'(]
