Argh, tickety tackety sound

RE: Argh, tickety tackety sound
hehehehe....do you have any friends that like playing jokes with you? Almost sounds the same if you put a plastic tie strap on the driveshaft...Bugs the S@#* out of you every time you accelerate; until you get underneath the vehicle and see what's going on. Probably not the case here but you never know.

RE: Argh, tickety tackety sound
My bet would be a rock/screw in tire. I was doing a burnout the other day at work and tach'd out around 6300 rpm when I hear this loud metallic snap! I'm like... Oh ****! Thought I blew some piece of a valve or ring out my tailpipe. Then I'm stressing over it all night, and in the morning I went out to look at the nice 100' tracksI laid down, and the last 15' or so had a 1/2" groove dug out of the pavement on the edge of the passenger side tracks. Obviouslythe rock before it flew out and hit mytailpipe or something.
Hope your noise is something simple like a rock in the tires

There was just a thread like this in the V6 section. Check all your tires for a screw/nail/rock/peice of metal. 99.9% of the time it is something stuck in your tire. I would bet money on it.

Ok, sound was gone on the next drive. I'm wondering if there is a deeper problem....
But anyways, I did clean a few rocks out, but nothing big.... And I did remove the torque limiters connected to my tranny. In all honesty, I don't think either of these things did anything.
The sound is gone, but I'm wondering if its a deeper problem that went away with the next startup and will reveal itself bigger and badder later on.
