If I had a vid camera I would post for you how mine sounds during startup - sounds pretty agressive - stock exhaust w/ JDM SC tune. There's the exhaust thread with a lot of links to youtube and you can hear popping during revving and startup - again, normal.

That is normal for these cars with duals. It isn't backfiring. It is backpressure.
