Default Yes or No to the CAI/Tune

Here we go . Here's a poll and I know now what the results will be. But just for $hit and giggles.

I didn't really feel the benefits of the CAI/tune until I want back to stock the other day for an inspection. It's amazing the difference, the car feels so unresponsive and slugish. I can't wait until Saturday when I can get the CAI and tune back in. I'm now a believer.

I guess I should answer "Yes I want the extra power" since I have one,but I'm starting to feel Chicken $hit cause I'm having all kinds of pinging issues, and the shifting is all screwed up, and it's making me think stock aint so bad. My tuner is tryng his best, but the only tunes that don't ping are the ones that he reduced timing to almost stock, so the power increase is minimal. The 87 tune even pings with 93 octane gas. Leaning toward Chicken $hit.

Wow, that sucks. Who's doing your tune?

Maybe a different tuner would be in order?

I would say try a new gas station, although it would have to be really bad to still ping on 93. I say get a tune from someone else, B@M@ or Brenspeed. They know what they are doing and rarely hear any problems.

Even if my car was a lease I would still get a tuner for the 100% stock set up. It is worth it just to mess with the drive by wire throttle. Also becuase you have a auto it helps there too.

Its your tune, not the CAI + tuner hardware.

good luck
