I recently bought a new Silver 2005 Mustang GT. I started calling around to all the local Muffler shops around town and everybody seemed to recommend that I go with a flowmaster muffler. So I thought what the heck, I went out and dropped $200 bucks on a set of 40 series Flowmasters. I have to admit it does sound a little better. I have had comments about how it sounds good from a few co-workers but to be honest I wasn't very impressed. I got to talking with one particular co-worker and he listened to it and he agreed that it could be much better. I am really looking for a very loud and aggressive sound. I have been reading up on the new Borla exhaust system. It's part # is 140135. Does anybody know anything about that? I hate to spend $800 on something and not get exactly what I want. Does anybody have any good recommendations for a great exhaust system that will really make my car stand out? I have been doing a lot of looking but this is my first muscle car to really work with. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

People are going to tell you SLP Loudmouth if you wanna stand out and be heard. Personally, thats what i'm going with. I'd like the Borla but $800 on something that probably won't increase hp a noticeable amount isn't worth it to me.

I got the SLP power flo system. It has little mufflers so it will be loud but they are mufflers so I will pass VA state inspection.

where abouts in VA do you live? i wanna hear some SLPs on the 05. all the 05s i've heard have been stock and not very loud at all.

Hey bud, I sent you an email with my Number. I live in Chesterfield. Let me know and we can meet up. The track should open soon. I can't wait to test mine. I have 7400 miles on it already. I will probably go with the SLP loud mouth. They have to pass you for inspection in Virginia but the State police can still write you a ticket. I took the State Inspection course and you don't have to have mufflers to pass inspection. The exhaust system can't leak thats all.
