35% tint????
Thanks for the pics and input. I have the gray (charcoal, I think) interior, so maybe that will help make it look darker like some have said. I am sure I would like 20% better but I dont think it will be worth any hassles down the road.

I just got mine done last Friday, in MD...I went with 20% because the sample they showed me on 35% was just too light. I asked which was their most popular and they told me 20%, I also have dark interior and am so glad I went with that choice. If I get pulled over for the tint then I'll deal with it then.

Can anyone from Maryland tell me where they got theirs done? Did you specifically ask for 35%? Does this take in account the tint that is already on the window from factory?

The windows from the factory are not 100% clear, they have a very slight tint to them that does not come off. If the tint you put on is 35%, technically it might be illegal but no one is going to hassle you for it.
I got mine done at The Tint Shop in Rockville and they were alright. A buddy got his done at Winners and we were going to compare but I only saw it the day after it was done, not enough time to dry and lose the bubbles, etc.

Good info fellas, thanks. I heard that D&L tint up in Parkville does a good job. http://www.dltinting.com
Any of you guys have cops hassle you because of the tint? All I need is to give them another reason to pull me over...

*knock on wood* No but mine is 35%ish (plus factory) so it's pretty close to legal. From what I've heard, if they can see you, they don't really care. It's when they can't see you that gets them worried and annoyed.
Im in pa, i got mine done at TREK. I wasnt all that thrilled, i have to go back the sun strip is lifting and the back window has about 50 small bubbles. For being the best he sure didnt impress me. Your best bet is to see their work up close not by pictures. The guy i went to had a wall of bmw's and mercedes as well as some other high end cars but the proof is in the pudding.
Is anyone else having problems with their door windows scratching?

Im in Arbutus MD, (southwest baltimore) and have 5% all around, no hassles so far from the cops, also i got mine done by Radient Tints on Washington Blvd in Elkridge, ive heard D&L in Parkville was great, but whatever you do dont get them done by GW Motorsports in Linthicum on Nursury Rd, way to over prices, same thing with HP (High Priced) racing in Glen Burnie on Ritchie Highway, jus too much money
