Redfire or Candy apple red?

RE: Redfire or Candy apple red?
From what I can tell, the candy apple red has little or no metallic flake (or silver undercoat like a candy color SHOULD have) So I vote for Redfire. That color captures the deep darks and the bright lights much better. Torch Red doesn't do that at all....very flat color.
Black does this too since it's all darks and reflections. This is why I picked Alloy Metallic....good range of highs mediums and lows.

Although I have yet to see the '08 Candy Apple Red color, my guess is that I would have chosen that color over Redfire. I like my Redfire GT, but the Redfire color is not dark enough. Ford has a color called Merlot that they used some of the cars and maybe the Exploder. It is darker than the Redfire, but still not as dark as the Vintage Burgandy on my 67 Mustang. fd

i love my redfire. not to start any arguements but to me the torch red reminds me of a crayon. i havnt seen a new candy apple red upclose yet but from the pics it looks pretty darn good!

I have seen the "new" candy but it looks the same as my year old redfire
side by side. IMHO

Well, I guess I should chime in and say, "Redfire FTW"....but, I, too, am biased!
And, admittedly, I haven't seen the Candy Apple Red yet, but I'm curious about it.
