Trying to improve my ET... and some questions
Car: '06 GT Convertible
Mods: JLT CAI + B@m@chips 91 Race Tune SCT Xcal2
Wheels: 18" BFGoodrich (gonna get some nitto 555s soon)
Weather: About 70
Also removed the spare and jack.
1/4 Time: 13.835 @ 101.49 mph
60': 2.154
Does this seem about right for my setup? Feel free to be brutally honest.
I was also wondering, when I ordered my tune from B@ma, it came with the Race/Torque/Performance tunes. Which one is the middle ground?
If anyone has any tips to improve the time please post 'em up! Thanks.

RE: Trying to improve my ET... and some questions
That seems about right. Best I could do with my 19's was 13.9. I have a few suspension mods as well. It was 65 here on saturday. With my MT ET Street radials, I did a best of 13.07 with a 1.782 60 ft. I've heard the Nitto's are great on the street but fair on the strip. It will still be an improvement over regular street tires. As for middle ground on your tunes, I'd probably say the performance tune. I run the race tune all the time now.

Which tune is the most aggressive?
I tried all 3, from what I can tell it seems like Torque is the tame one, Performance is in between and Race is the most aggressive. Is that correct?

I also have been launching almost idle... seems like I just spin the tires otherwise. Maybe I need to bring the pressure down? I think the tires are starting to get pretty worn too though.

Don't see if you are auto or manual... If your auto, your somewhere close to right. If your manual, theres something wrong. Either way, I would definately say that lowering the tire pressure to mid 20's would help you out. Your 60' times are kinda high... work on your launches.A 1.9 isn't impossible with some practice. Those stock 18" bullits are pretty heavy too, sad to say. Your MPH is about right for what your ET's are, now you just hafta get your 60' down, and you'll see some improvement.
Also, try launching between 2K and 2500 if your a stick or for an auto, try somewhere in the 2800 range.

Well, to get lower ET times you should decrease the 60 ft. 2.1 isn't bad, and my best is only a 2.0. With a 2.1 I think you should be doing better, but I'm not sure what your shifting at (or if an auto what that is shifting at) and I'm also not sure how much the weight is affecting that.
With an Off Road H, and C&L Street Intake with a 93 Oct Brenspeed Tune, I ran 13.2 @ 106. Shifting around 6500 RPMs.
Removed O/R Pipe and installed UDPs, same setup. 13.0 @ 107
This is with the spare, jack, and Shaker 1000. 17" Aluminum Wheels and Pirelli's (stock). I have Steeda Chromoly Lower controls arms but I don't feel like they really contributed, as well as the Steeda Tri-Ax. More of a comfort/personal choice than anything in my opinion.

To lower your 60 foot time, you should switch to some drag radials. A good rule of thumb is a tenth reduction in 60 foot can be worth 2 tenths at the end of the track! We sell both Nitto and BFG drag radials.
