I was briefly considering a Paxton SC after seeing them on ebay for $3,500, but after reading some reviews (albeit not for the Mustang application), I was convinced that they are not of very high quality, which may obviously lead to disappointment, mechanical failure, or worse, damage to your engine.

Here are some of the reviews I read:

Sorry...wrong person to talk you out of it. As far as the Paxton set-up, I went with the one from Brenspeed and couldn't be happier. I have about 4K miles on it and have not had any issues at all. I read the reviews as well but most of the applications were not on Mustangs. I had several conversations with Brent as well and he has had good luck with them as well. Good luck and go for it!!!

Yes, Mr NA himself is thinking about a supercharger.

Heres the thing... This is my daily driver and the most important aspect to it is longevity and reliability.

So I was thinking Hmmm, maybe the cheap Paxton Novi 1200 would be a safe bet since it seems to be the least powerful and least complicated supercharger.

So then I thought "I cant believe Im even considering this insanity!"

Stop me.
So ohnoesaz, what is this, reverse psychology? Trying to get us to talk you into it?

Old man here saying, dont get anything just because its a bit cheeper then another brand that seems to be better.i have a vortex and love it. im sure paxton is ok, but it never fails, if something is cheaper there is a reason. I will say this, nomatter which one you get, your gonna love going to work again! lol

Saleenor Roush. They wouldn't use these from the factory and warranty them if they weren't reliable.

Here we go... Dennis has become a S/C nut folks! 3 positive posts on that topic already. Before the week-end, he was kinda quiet, asking questions etc.. Now he's infected with the virus!

That's the power of the forums...
