I tried to get an answer in the Audio section, no help there. Did anyone have this happen.....Park the car, turn the radio off, lock the doors....and there is a loud sound comming from the trunk. Open it and find the noise is comming from behind the Sub Woofer in the trunk (Shaker 1000). The only way I could stop it, was to disconnect the battery. When I hooked the battery back, the noise was gone. Any ideas, as to what would cause this.

 

Something weird with the amps? I believe the shaker 1000 amps are mounted behind the speaker enclosure. I dunno, hard to say. I'd unbolt the shaker and listen to the parts close up to determine which it is. Either that or take it to the dealer and say "fix it."
