I would go with the Shaker 500. You can not fit your golf clubs in the trunck with the Shaker 1000. Just my opinion.

I never believed in getting the optional upgrade systems. They are always to expensive and low quality. Go aftermarket.

I have the 1000 and it's not bad. I bought the car off the lot and the system was in there. Had I ordered a car, I would not have taken the 1000. I'm not even sure I would have taken the 500. For that kind of cash I'm sure I could have designed a better aftermarket system. But I'm not complaining. The bass hits hard when I want it to and the 6 disc in dash is convenient. All in all, I'm a happy guy.

I could not agree with you more. For $1,200 you can do a whole lot better in the aftermarked world whether it's replacing the system or an upgrade. Persnonally, my $1,200 will go with my mods before considering changing the music system.
