can u clean brakes with carborator cleaner?
i was buying a brake cleaner at autozone, the manager recommended i use a carborator cleaner instead of the brake cleaner because it does not leave any residue. i cleaned the front left brake...and stopped i thought i would ask u guysif it would harm the brake.
Most of the guys at Autozone are nimrods. Brakleen doesn't leave a residue and it evaporates at a faster rate. Carb cleaner is for carburetors although it does have a higher cleaning effect than Brakleen does. Also Brakleen is paint friendly and carb cleaner is not. Carb cleaner actually has some oils within it and the Brakleen does not. Use Brakleen. But it shouldn't harm anything.

+1 I agree completely with the above statement. AZ used to care who they hired, in the past 5 years, they've found it's cheaper to hire teens with no experience and get equipment that a monkey can use so they look smart. Ask a technical question after a battery test and they are lost. I've worked for them for about 6 years and have recently quit, they've really Walmart-ized themselves. It's not the reason I quit, but it didn't help.
