RE: Which one should I buy????
my mother-in-law has a g35 and that thing is frickin FUN to drive... twin turbo V6... fast as hell, and they live in a canyon, so the road to town is nothing but hills and turns... nothing like driving a 300 hp go kart...
still i love the mustang and it is bigger, sounds better, and gets more looks...

ORIGINAL: Texotic
i looked at both a Z and a Stang. the Stang is cheaper, looks a bit better, has more interior room, and is faster in a straight line. the Z has better handling and 1 more gear (thus better mileage). also, the stang is easier to mod. good luck in your decision. the breaker for me was when i realized i couldn't fit my guitar case in the back of the Z.

Those are the ONLY 2 carswe test drove. My wife and I went out (no salesman)
and took 'em both out for a drive..and I mean I DROVE 'empretty hard. Both were
auto's. 350Z felt too small (I'm 5'8"), the seats hug you nice though. We both felt
claustrophobic in it and the visibility sucked. The Mustang felt roomier, not so much
a cockpit, and you could hear and feel the power when you gunned it.When driving
around in the two, we actually felt prouder/cooler/younger and our nipples were harder
while in the stang. Need I say more.

Same situation i was in not to long ago. I was looking at getting an 05 350Z Nismo or an 07 GT.
You'd think the 350Z being a two-seater was much smaller than the GT from the outside, think again, the Z is one of the biggest two-seaters i've ever seen! Anyway, my mother drives a Nissan Murano which has the same engine as the 350Z pretty powerful, but sounds much to weak. I did like it's interior more than my GT's.
350Z is a pretty boy car, i'd like to have one as a second car but not as a first.

Mustang GT hands down. v8 growl > v6 cacophony.
also isn't the 350Z like a $35K car? You could get a close-to-new GT plus twin screws and some supporting mods for that kind of money.

RE: Which one should I buy????
Well if the new G37S coupe is indicative of the 350Z, they are tipping the scales at 3740 lbs, they are pigs, up 100 lbs from last year. Maybe the 350Z is lighter than the G37S but either way, they are fat.
Now I'm not saying the mustang is a lightweight but its not 3700 lbs.
The GT can be made faster for less, can be made to handle as well or better for cheap, probably for the difference in purchase price between a Track model Z and a premium GT.
The Z has a nicer interior and better seats but thats about it. I would rather "drive"a loud rough muscle car well than steer a calm less visceral car.
