From your picture, I'd say you live in an apartment. I'll bet your neighbors just LOVE you.

it makes a very strange wooshing airy noise when you cranked it.. ehh, it's not refined enough for me. loud is good only if it has a nice tone IMO.

Yup SLPs/no muffler setups are the best way to get loud and keep your cats!!! I refuse to get rid of my cats. Im no tree hugger at all, but the thought of that hardcore exhaust gas shooting out the back, and possibly getting into the cabin, bugs me. The no muffler setup is a way to still get the loud sound.
That's the best part. Raw fuel and burnt rubber FTW.

I have been running that exact same set-up for over a year. No mufflers and magna-flow tips. But I went with 3.5" slash cut tips to mimic the stock tips. I LOVE the sound. And i have had a LOT of compliments on the sound. Got mine done at a local shop for $75 plus the cost of the tips.

I have the Pypes O/R exhaust with no cats on mine for about 8 months now and not one whiff of exhaust ever has made it into the cabin. I recently had to put them back on to get it smogged and OMG what a difference. The car is so slow with the cats its unbelievable. Love the sound of the muffler deletes ...

Same here, it was the best $80 I have spent on the car.
