Default exhaust stuff

ok so i got the pypes o/r h hooked up to the mbrp loudmouths, and yes it is way the hell over the top, thoughi like it.

i do have a question tho. since the new exhaust i have a rattle coming up through the shifter area under accell. i'm sure it's the exhaust rattling, what else could it possibly be.. so i take it back to the mechanic and he tightens everything down again. still rattles under accell. what do i do about this?

geez, nobody?

my friend said his X did this at first, and they re-tightened it and it stopped. that was what i assumed these guys did, but im pretty sure they just tightened the bolts some more.

i may put it on a lift myself and just wedge some rubber where its clanking, or wrap it in wire tape or something.

Is it hitting the heat sheild where the cats used to be? Or bumping the tranny?

it could be where the hangers are at, but it's so loud i dunno. also, it seems to be coming up through the shifter or e-brake area. what do you mean TSB??

so i just had a great idea, not related to fixing this problem. i think im gonna go to drive throughs, try to order stuff and film it as the drive through operator goes nuts trying to hear me over the exhaust. should be hysterical.

While it sounds fun, it can get irritating. I have to cut my car off at most drive thrus. [8D]

hey man, my MACs have so much bass that it rattles the hell out of the e-brake's cheap *** plastic. play with that while you drive to see if that could be a little bit of the problem.
